Background of the Study
Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are critical drivers of economic growth, yet they often struggle to compete in a digital marketplace due to limited marketing budgets and resources. In Kaduna, Kaduna State, a web-based motion graphics advertising tool is being developed to empower SMEs with affordable, high-quality digital advertising capabilities. Motion graphics combine animation, text, and sound to create dynamic visual content that can capture consumer attention and communicate brand messages effectively (Ibrahim, 2023). This tool aims to streamline the creation of animated advertisements, enabling SMEs to design professional-grade content without the need for expensive software or specialized expertise. By offering customizable templates, intuitive drag-and-drop interfaces, and real-time preview features, the platform makes it easier for small businesses to produce engaging advertisements that can be distributed across digital channels. Recent trends in digital marketing have shown that motion graphics significantly improve ad engagement and conversion rates compared to static images or traditional video ads (Chinwe, 2024). The proposed web-based tool will also incorporate analytics features to help businesses track ad performance and optimize their campaigns. This system is particularly important in Kaduna, where SMEs require cost-effective marketing solutions to compete with larger enterprises. The background of this study emphasizes the need for accessible digital marketing tools that empower SMEs, promote economic growth, and foster innovation in the competitive online marketplace.

Statement of the Problem
SMEs in Kaduna face significant challenges in establishing a strong digital presence due to limited budgets and a lack of technical expertise in creating high-quality marketing materials (Ibrahim, 2023). Traditional advertising methods are often cost-prohibitive and do not effectively reach modern consumers, who are increasingly influenced by dynamic, visually engaging content. Although motion graphics have been proven to enhance audience engagement and brand recall, many SMEs lack the resources to produce such content. Existing digital marketing tools are either too expensive or overly complex, preventing small businesses from leveraging the benefits of motion graphics. Additionally, the absence of integrated analytics and user-friendly design features further hinders the adoption of digital advertising strategies among SMEs in Kaduna (Chinwe, 2024). This study seeks to address these issues by developing a web-based motion graphics advertising tool tailored specifically for SMEs. The research will evaluate the tool’s effectiveness in enhancing ad quality, increasing customer engagement, and driving sales. It will also identify technical and usability challenges that small businesses face when implementing digital advertising solutions and propose strategies to overcome these barriers. By doing so, the study aims to provide a practical, scalable solution that can help SMEs in Kaduna compete effectively in the digital market.

Significance of the Study
This study is significant as it provides SMEs in Kaduna with an innovative, cost-effective digital advertising tool, enhancing their competitive edge in the online market (Ibrahim, 2023). The insights will guide the development of user-friendly motion graphics solutions that boost engagement and drive business growth (Chinwe, 2024).

Scope and Limitations of the Study
This study is limited to the development and evaluation of a web-based motion graphics advertising tool for SMEs in Kaduna, Kaduna State. It focuses solely on digital advertising and does not extend to other marketing strategies.
